Terms of Service

Gift Memberships ("the app", "we") is an app for the Whop platform that lets Whop creators sell their memberships as gifts. By installing the app, buying a gift or claiming a gift you agree to these terms and to Whop's own Terms of Service.

1. How gifts work

• Creators set which memberships can be gifted and at what one-time price.
• Buyers pay through Whop's checkout. The payment goes to the creator, not to us. The buyer receives a gift card, not access.
• The recipient claims the gift with a free Whop account. The gift period (for example 1 month) starts when it is claimed. Gifts do not renew.
• Each gift can be claimed once. Anyone holding the private gift link can claim it.

2. Creators

• You are the seller of the gifted membership and are responsible for delivering what you sell, for your prices and for handling refunds and support for your customers.
• The app creates a hidden "Gift cards" product in your whop to take gift payments. Deleting it is safe but it will be recreated on the next sale.
• The Free plan includes 5 gifts per month and 1-month gifts. The Pro plan ($19/month, billed by Whop) removes these limits. You can cancel Pro at any time from Whop; it stays active until the end of the paid period.

3. Refunds

Refunds are issued by the creator through Whop. If a gift is refunded before it is claimed, its link stops working. If it is refunded after it was claimed, the recipient's gift membership is canceled.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use the app to sell anything Whop does not allow, to abuse gift links, or to interfere with the service. We may suspend gifting for a whop that does.

5. Availability and liability

We work to keep the app reliable, but it is provided "as is". Scheduled emails can be delayed and third-party services (Whop, email providers) can be unavailable. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid us for the app in the last 3 months.

6. Changes

We may update these terms. If changes are significant we will tell creators in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
